Overall
First of all, looking at the pattern of the cards – 5/12 (almost half) are wands indicating a lot of energetic activity this coming year, probably to do with work or projects. No major cards at all, suggesting a year where you are very much in control and that you can shape and mould events yourself.
st House – this is about you, how you project yourself and how others see you. 2 of Wands, Mars in Aries. The 1st house is ruled by Aries too. Therefore a lot of Fire energy surrounding you and how you project yourself this year. The 2 of Wands suggests that you will be taking forward some ideas and projects, and these will very much be your projects. I wonder – will you be promoted at work, or perhaps move to a higher status job elsewhere?
nd House – this is about your money and self worth, things that make you feel safe and secure. 3 of Wands, the Sun in Aries. More Aries go-getting energy. Past work and activities begin to bear fruit; this builds on the previous card, not least because it’s consecutive as a tarot card, but it’s also in the following house. The energies of the 2 in the 1st house will feed through to the 3 in the second. Feelings of achievement, not feeling perhaps as uncertain about your home / financial security as you might have in the past.
rd House – Your day-to-day environment; communication, neighbours, siblings, short journeys. 9 of Wands. Although some things may feel like a bit of a slog and never-ending, you are almost there. One last push is needed to get something resolved to your satisfaction. Don’t give up now.
th House – family, home (physical) , roots and emotional security. 5 of Cups. A feeling of loss, inner turmoil, something upsetting family balance which can cause you to feel unhappy and depressed. I sense that this may be something unexpected.
th House – Your self expression, creativity and everything that is fun for you. 6 of Pentacles. Balance and stability, giving to and receiving from others Perhaps you will feel more settled than you have been in previous years. Possibly a feeling of better financial security than before.
th house – Your attitude to your work (as opposed to your career), and possibly your health. 3 of Cups. Celebrations and good times. I wonder if this is related to 1st and 2nd house cards, which do seem to indicate a career upturn. I wonder if you are going to change jobs in some way (promotion or new employer) and move into something that you really love.
th house – long term relationships, romantic and/or business. This card can sometimes describe your ‘ideal partner’, someone who is complimentary to you because you are both so different. Princess of Swords. I think we have had this card before in a reading for you – but it was the disruptive person in your house. Is she your girlfriend now? Or perhaps you are jut growing to like each other more generally. If not the particular female in question, it seems that someone like her will feature positively for you in 2011. Magnetic.
th House – joint finances and possessions, may also be about personal psychology, attitude to change; sexuality. 8 of Wands. This is interesting, an 8 in the 8th House. I feel that this particularly underlines the sense of change, activity that 8s bring generally. 8 of Wands suggest lots of communication and activity. Again, I’m wondering whether this relates to the 1st and 2nd house, and possible new job prospects again.
th House – Higher learning and your belief systems. This can include your sense of adventure. 2 of Pentacles. Wondering what to do really. On the one hand you want to pursue something interesting, on the other….can you afford it. Decisions and trade-offs. Whether to travel or not might feature here.
th House – Career / profession, responsibilities, your reputation and standing. 5 of Wands. Conflict and competition. Saturn in Leo – constraints on your leadership and ability to go forwards. Again, I wonder if this relates to the new possibilities in your work mentioned previously, and where you might perhaps find it a little difficult to adapt at first, particularly if the role involves taking on more responsibility than before.
th House – your aspirations and personal goals; social groups. 10 of Swords. Sorry! It looks like maybe some social groups that you belong to might come to an end, or perhaps a ‘cause’ that is important to you loses an important battle. But – the 10 of Swords means that the worst is over now, so whatever problems occur – the only way is up now. I also wonder whether this might mean that you may be making major changes to your social scene in some way.
th House – Privacy, secrets, karma. What is hidden from you and what you might hide from others. Queen of Swords. Clever and in control. Intelligent and a good problem solver. Is this perhaps a side of you that you don’t always let shine? 2011 may seem to offer the opportunity for it to do so; again, this may be related to work changes.
